I think he meant he didn't have access to SSH on his web server, i.e.
either no ssh daemon is running on the server or he's not allowed to log
on with the credentials he has, not that he couldn't run ssh from his
workstation - but maybe confusion is really hitting me hard now and I've
officially lost track :)
