Project files - ignore during commit?

From: Andy Messier <agmessier_at_gmail.com>

Hi,

I've got project definition files in my project that get modified every time
I open or close the IDE, so when I make a commit, they're always selected as
modified files even though there is no meaningful change to submit.

Is there a setting that will allow these files be versioned, but not flagged
as modified when they change? I'd like to have the option to commit the
file if I add files to the project, for instance. I just don't want it to
be done automatically.

Thanks,
Andy
