Nope, server just asks for a password. It returns the error 401. IE, for
example, correctly displays the login form, and after filling it enters the
repository correctly. The problem is that the server's reply can't be
delivered to TSVN, while there's no problem to send this reply to IE. Why?..
nobody knows.

A server would return error 403 on failed authentication.
