Sorry I forget to mention that I am calling tortoise from a batch file
which does an update on my working copy:

TortoiseProc.exe /closeonend:3 /command:update
/path:D:\hva\projecten\bts\ /notempfile

Then I get the update dialog which lists the changes, or just says
'Completed at revision [number]' when there are no changes.
