Undo Update

Is it possible to undo the effects of an update? i.e. I right click on
my project and click update from the tortoise menu.

 

I would like to undo this if an automatic merge occurs and I would like
to go back to my work revision and do a branch. Lets also assume I have
forgotten what revision the files I update were at.

 

Hope this is clear enough.
