Fagun-

I'm not sure that I completely understand your question. In Subversion,
the terms "branch" and "tag" are just virtual concepts that denote the
same operation. To create a tag, you would need to invoke the 'svn
copy' operation, the same as you would a branch, hence why TortoiseSVN
puts them together in the context menu. Per the SVN guidelines, the
only difference would be that tags belong in <repo_name>/tags whereas
branches belong in <repo_name>/branches; perhaps this answers your
question? If not, can you restate it a little more clearly?

You may also want to pose this to the actual SVN list
(users@subversion.tigris.org); this list is specific to the Tortoise
shell extension.

Thanks,

-Bryan

Subject: Is it possible to create Tag without creating Branch?

        Hi,

Can anyone please help me out regarding following query?

        Regards,

        Fagun

        Hi,

Can it be possible to create Tag without creating a branch on
SVN Repository? Can we do it by mentioned a perticular source path
(i.e., such as http://servername/svn/repos/tags) or mentioning a
specific log message (i.e., Tag for XX.XX.XX line or something?)?

        Thanks,

        Fagun
