Branching/Tagging and Merging

Hello! I am a newbie to Subversion and any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the trunk called -Project and after which I build and branch for the
release and name it -Release1. Now a user fixes a file under Release1 and
other developers are working on the Project.

Questions:

1. If I delete Release1 from the server and I created a new branch called
Release2, does the client cache the Release1? (i.e. Path still says
Release1..)

2. How do I Merge back Release1 to Project folder with all its
modifications?
