bug? extra green check marks

I have just checked the e-mail archives again after failing to do so for
a long time. I noticed the suggestion that the cleanup operation should
be an effective mitigation, and an earlier suggestion that this was an
artifact of shared drives that might be inescapable.

I have confirmed that in my case the problem as originally reported
persists, and that the cleanup operation can get a proper display. I
should also note that the drive in question is a share. I want to thank
all of those who were active in this last month for their help.

I would also like to ask if it is now appropriate to add this to the
issue tracker. I guess it comes down to the types of issues that should
be tracked. If it is an insoluble problem, then perhaps there is no
point in adding it. What's the right thing to do?
