Is it possible to add a whole folder into a repository folder?

Dear SVN staff,

I am a newbie to SVN, but I am deeply impressed by this software and all your contribution.Here thanks for your present. It really helps me a lot.

But when I play with the gift, I encountered with some problems, please give me a hand.

1. Is it possbile to add an existing folder on my disk to a repository folder recursively in the Repo_browser window? If this is not supported, any other alternatives?

2. Is it possbile for the tortoise not to display the icon overlay? Because I don't want others to know I added some folder into a SVN repository.
