If you have tortoisesvn installed, try right clicking on a folder in
windows explorer and selecting "TortoiseSVN/Help"

Then, at least look at Section 5 "Daily use guide", subsections 5.1
Getting started and 5.3 Checking out a working copy.

if you get stuck, then come back and ask for help.

Subject: newbie with dumb question

So I'm completely new to svn and I need some help: my friend has a
repository at an http:// address, and I need to move my code in and out
(as would be the point). I have the tortoise client, I know the address
and I have my user/pass, what do I do now to interact with the server?
Is there somewhere I can write svn scripts?

thanks guys,
    Rob
