Branch problems

Hi,

I have a problem with tsvn I don't know how to solve and I was hoping
you can help me.
I run the latest release of tsvn on win XP with FSFS db, not bdb.

My repository path is at d:/repositories and there I have
d:/repositories/project1, d:/repositories/project2, etc.
I needed to create a branch on a project and I created it as
d:/repositories/project1/branch (using right click - tortoisesvn -
branch/tag). Then I figured that probably that's not the best thing and
I started the repo-browser on d:/repositories/project1, went to the
branch subfolder, right click and deleted it.
Problem is that I cannot create branches anymore, regardless of the
project. I can commit and checkout but not branch. I tried reinstalling
tsvn, I created a new repositories folder but no matter what I do I get
the same message:
Unable to open an ra_local session to URL
Unable to open repository 'file:///D:/repositories/project1'

What can I do? I just want to create that branch...
