On second thought: if you just want to color those entries differently
which are 'new' since the last *update* (and ignore commits), then we
could just use the revision of the selected item. But that would then
confuse users I think: if you commit some changes after you updated your
working copy and then show the log, your commit will also be marked as
'new'.
