I think I can do that. A few caveats:

I'm not running it in production (not sure why I never got around to it)
I'm certain there are bugs in it
It's still got a short to-do list (things I haven't implemented yet)
I've never restored or relocated a repository from a hotcopy (only
been running Subversion for 6 months in production)

But it does do what I described - create a directory based on the
current date, performs a hotcopy, and then deletes older directories.

I'll clean up the code and get more comments into it over the weekend
before I share it.
