Proxy problems

We want to install Tortoise SVN in our school network. For going to the
Internet we are using a Proxy Server. I can reach my repository with a
browser, but not with Tortoise. In the options I fill up the proxy. Is
there used another port than 80. Please help. I spoke 2 month with my
colleagues to install Tortoise. If it don't run, I will have no chance
again.
