Ron,

You could set a property on the revision or create a tag for the build that
is submitted to the testing department. That way you can translate the
testing department reports on 'the build from april 3' back to the revision
number that the developers need.

By the way: How on earth are the testers going to cope with two builds
delivered to them on the same day? ;-)
