User Authentication

Hi,

  The way our team is going to set up TortoiseSVN is on a shared network drive, which everyone has access to.  We are not going to set up the repository on a server such as Apache.  While reading through the manual, I don't see any place to set user authentication and which files they can access etc without setting up a server.  Do you know if there is any way around this?  If you could, please email be back directly.  Thank you for your time.
