TSVNCache.exe gone mad

From: Gary Ferland <gary_at_pa.uky.edu>

I upgraded to the current release version and now have problems with
TSVNCache.exe soaking up all cycles on the machine.

I run a large test suite overnight using a perl script. the code is standard
C running as a console application and developed with vs 2005. The input
scripts are under svn but the files generated by the test suite are not.
During the test the input script is read as stdin by the application and many
output files are created. With the upgrade to the current tortoisesvn the
test suite takes vastly longer because TSVNCache.exe gets all the cycles. The
script is running unattended over night so I can't kill TSVNCache.exe.

any suggestions on how to disable TSVNCache.exe or get it to be a polite
citizen on the machine? why is it eating all the cycles?

the OS is fully patched xp. the box if a p4.

thanks for a great resource!
