This seems to be coming up too often. Maybe we should remove that option
from the installer so users have to add the variable manually.

And maybe add something to the settings dialog to add/remove that
variable. That way you can put a status indication to show which working
folder is in effect, add a big red warning dialog when changing, and
make it easier to remove the variable again.
