How to properly pause and resume an big checkout

Tried it, no good. The checkout top folder only gives me the top level
files, not the folders. There sub folders are the ones containing the
big files. So I'm not sure what you mean by update item
non-recursively.
You mean to manually update each folder?

Actually I solved the problem in another way. I delete the folder which

is causing the error, and did a clean up (first time two failed, but
3rd
try succeeded), and I'm continuing downloading.
