Check For Update doesn't work with proxy

Hello,

I use proxy for HTTP & FTP and if I want Tortoise to check
if there is Tortoise update it fails with "Could not check for a newer
version"
message. I have configured my proxy in Network Settings,
but it seems they are not used.
Is it possible to check for update through proxy?
