how to automate build

Hello,
I want to be able to have a build automatically made every time I commit a file. By this I mean the following:
When I do a commit of a file I want SVN to export the whole project to a directory (effectively doing an update to a folder where we store the most recent build). So that whenever a new file is committed, the latest version of the project is always accesible on our development server. Can someone can point me in the right direction? Should I use hooks? Are there prewritten scripts / tools for this?

I use SVN 1.3.0 and tortoise 1.3.0 on Windows XP sp2
