Log messages lost after merging from branch to trunk

I am learning to use branch/merge in TSVN. I notice that after bringing all
the changes from a branch to the trunk, I seem to lose all the revision
history (eg. log messages) of file that I create in the branch (i.e. all the
commits that I do to the branch). Am I missing something? I would like to be
able to see all the log messages that I commit to the branch (but I want to
be able to see it when I do "Show log" on the file in the trunk). Is this
possible?
