Tell I.T. to get off their lazy bums and come install it. After a
couple-fifty visits they'll add it to your groups standard image ... they
are doing images by corporate group aren't they???

Subject: No Admin access means no TortoiseSVN

I work in a corporate environment as a systems developer. Our boxes have a
pre-configured Windows install which we can not alter (WinXP SP1). Some
concessions have been made for us enabling the installing of applications
(as we are developers) but we do not have Administrator privileges on our
boxes and we can not alter the Windows installation itself; nor are we able
to get this "standard" install altered (installing the updated version of
Windows Installer service comes under this). So not been able to install
TortoiseSVN without Administrator privileges quite simple means we are
unable to continue using TortoiseSVN. Is there some other alternative?
