No, that shouldn't happen.
Or are you talking about the left treeview in explorer? Updating the
overlays there is not reliable, but not TSVN's fault. The explorer is a
little strange when it comes to the left treeview - it decides on its
own if it updates the overlays there or not (which means it sometimes
ignores notifications to update).
