Non MSI installer?

Hi,

Is there a way to install TortoiseSVN other than the MSI installer? The
MSI installer doesn't run on my XP system because "This installation
package cannot be installed by the window installer service. You must
install a windows service pack that contains a newer version of the
windows installer service." Unfortunately I can't install SP2, because
if I do that the keyboard and touchpad of my laptop don't work anymore
(a known problem according to Acer support, and they say nobody knows a
solution).

A zip-file plus a way to configure the shell extension would be nice.
Building from source is not an option since I don't have VS .NET 2005.
