Just to make sure, I installed tonight's nightly and tested again. I can't
reproduce this effect anymore.

The only thing that I can observe, which doesn't look 100% normal to me is
that the project monitor window flickers off and on for a split second,
just after fetching the data and before the diff tool shows up. It looks
like it is losing and regaining focus. Don't know how I can describe this
better.
