New translation ressource on the 1.8.x branch, but not on trunk

Hi Folks,

on the 1.8.x. branch a new ressource 'Do you want to drop the vendor
branch into
the working copy "%s"?' has shown up, which does not exist on trunk. Up to
now I have assumed that only bugfixes go on the branch and that the
translations on trunk are (roughly) a superset of those on the branch.

How did this string make it into the branch without showing up on trunk?
This spoils my current approach of only allowing translations on trunk and
merging new translations into the release branch.
