Merge revisions from a deleted branch

Hi,
I have a branch that I recently deleted but now I want to merge some of the revisions of that branch back into the trunk. If I open the merge dialog I can still find the branch because I can select an earlier revision. But if I then open the show log of that deleted branch no revisions are shown whatever I choose. If I manually put in the revisions I want then the merge will be executed perfectly. Is there a way to get the log to show the revisions? and if no is it possible to make?
