Using the "Show unversioned files" sounds like a good idea. Here at work we don't tend to do this because the teams often are not disciplined enough (or don't know) how to use svn:ignore.
I have committed step 1, and will do step 2 much later, but stil tonight. So the build should be OK - it builds on my work computer now.
