If you support Git, then you will duplicate my work from TortoiseGit.
As a pure Git user, I don't want to compile any SVN or HG stuffs.
Microsoft is adding Git support so all other Git clients may be losing users.
This may make the user bases of different clients more scattered.

Also, a change in common component may affect all other version control providers. We may not know all types of version control. This increases cost of testing.

Furthermore, the workflow of each Tortoise team is different.
If you support other kinds of version control, then will the development be centralized by TortoiseSVN team?
