thanks for your reply.

No, it's a slightly different feature. I want *occasionally* to read
what happened, to spot some mistake for example, but I definitively do
not want commits to auto-close because I would lose the answer to "what
happened to that commit X?"

We could say that adding this feature is questionable e.g. "too many
features", but I still think it qualifies as a feature request :)

Having such visual aid (colors) is - in my opinion - a great aid for
people used to fast reading and multitasking. Also I think many
different types of users would quickly pick it up thanks to associative
memory.

Please let me know if it can be added to the issue tracker; I could even
contribute with draft implementation, although not immediately as my
schedule is a bit bleeding right now..
