Eek. Seems the docs are wrong in that case.

But why would you not want to fetch the new HEAD revision in that
case? The only other reason for using F5 would be if someone else has
edited a log message, and that's what shift-F5 is for, no? Are you
saying there is no equivalent shortcut to closing and re-opening the
log dialog?
