Silly me I used %1 thinking that it would be ok to test it out but for some reason %1 seems to be an empty string.

I have changed to %4 and it all works like a dream.

PS. Another 2 lessons learned.
1 don't make assumptions when tired.
2 Don't do this 5h1t when tired go home and sleep.
