And sometimes getting updates is out of your hands when one is not available through official means and that's all people will use.
That's still no reason to force people to change a format of a feature that is still supported by the latest versions when the new format is only supported by a small set of the releases and where people may not want to change the format.
In this case, I have to advise that people either use the advanced dialog (with TSVN 1.7 - which they are likely to forget) or continue using the older TSVN 1.6 which you no longer support either. I'd much rather allow them to upgrade to TSVN 1.7 and have an option to set to maintain the usage we want until we are ready to make the change ourselves.
