Steps to reproduce a crash in Checkout Items dialog

Steps to reproduce:
 1. Setup to checkout from TSVN trunk.
 2. Open the Choose Items dialog.
 3. Click on the root item to unselect everything.
 4. Hold down CTRL and select `build.txt`, THEN check its checkbox.
 5. Continue holding down CTRL and select `contrib`, THEN check its
checkbox. See screen capture [1].
 5. Continue holding down CTRL and check `build.txt`'s checkbox, which
should cause 'build.txt' and 'contrib' to be unchecked => TSVN will crash.

Minor variations of those steps will NOT result in TSVN, but I've been
seeing crashes under other situations that I haven't been able to reproduce
the steps for exactly, so perhaps a fix for this will resolve those issues
as well.
