I like your idea of having different shapes as the main discriminant between
states —I hadn't tried Straight long enough to notice. I might not be able
to integrate it in this set, but I'll keep it in mind for an alternative
version. At least there seems to be enough contrast between red and green,
if I test the preview online:

About the Unversioned icon, question marks are tricky and never look good on
their own! What about this?
