As a user of TSVN nighties my personal choice for now is to use neon.
I have seen several issues when using serf and that was enough, not
wanting or able to pursue them further.

TSVN nighties use serf 0.7.2 [1], and there are several issues there
that are already fixed in serf-trunk, as was mentioned in
dev_at_subversion.
