TortoiseMerge line breaks request

From: Hans-Emil Skogh <Hans-Emil.Skogh_at_tritech.se>

Hi!

Would it be possible to let TortoiseMerge make a somewhat more informed decision on where to break long lines? Right now I see some files where a long line is broken differently in the left and right pane, and therefore getting a lot of false differences.

Perhaps it would even be desirable to use the information from the inline diff to decide where to break the lines. For example if there is one change in the middle of a long line we could make sure that the change is positioned by itself on one or more "lines". In the same way new data in the middle of a long line could get their own lines.
