path comparison in log dialog is wrong

There's a problem with the log cache somewhere. The changed paths in the
log dialog are not shown right. If the checkbox "hide unrelated paths"
is active, paths that should be shown are not, and if the checkbox is
not checked, those paths are shown in gray.
But the paths are related, even though the comparison tells that they're
not.
Clearing the log cache fixes the problem, but only until there are new
commits and the log cache is updated to those new commits. At least
that's what happened to me two times already.

Can you maybe take a look at this?
