Recommended SSL CAs to use?

Hi,

I'm looking at setting up a public subversion server, backed by HTTPS.

I was thinking of getting a cert from, say GoDaddy, but wondered what CAs TortoiseSVN (and SVN itself) would know about by default.

Does it hook into Internet Explorer and use its list? Or is it some pre-defined list from openssl ?
