"Mostly off" won't help. Even "off" won't help with Kaspersky. The only
way to get stuff working on systems where that thing was installed was
to completely uninstall it.
But you could try to first turn it off completely, maybe they learned (I
have my doubts though) and made it finally respect the off switch.
