Re: Tortoise svn no icon overlay in windows explorer windows xp 64 bit

Hi there,

I had the same problem, and I solved it by deleting some registry
keys.

I have used Windows 2003 x64, and after installed the new tsvn version
(1.6.5), icon overlay is not working anymore.
(i also don't remember which version the old version was).

after removing and re-install about 10~20 times, and searching
internet,

I found this:

old version (don't know exact version) of tsvn use the registry keys,
1TortoiseSVN ~ 7TortoiseSVN in this location:
\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers

and recent version uses TortoiseAdded ~ TortoiseUnversioned in the
same location.
and the problem is that windows support 14 ICON ONLY!

So THE SOLUTION IN MY CASE:

after uninstall tsvn, i removed the keys 1TortoiseSVN ~ 7TortoiseSVN.
and reboot the computer, and install tsvn 1.6.5 version again, and
reboot.

and the icon overlay in explorer is working!
