These look good. Maybe, we will need the first one in red
as well (we've got 4 depth levels).

Yep, nicer than the current ones.

I think we have to see how these 5 overlays against look
when superimposed on typical file / folder icons. Typically,
we would need to tweak hue, brightness or size ...

It took TSVN years to optimize the current overlays ;)

That one looks good as well. I think it could be improved, though:

* 50% brighter (would also match the pale blue / gray logo better)
* maybe head & neck could be made slightly larger
* tail a little shorter (to tell tail and legs apart)

While I wouldn't change the logo itself, your 16x16 picture
looks better than the current scaled-down logo, IMHO.

Definitely!

If you are looking to a larger job, have a look at
/src/resources/regvraphbar.bmp. These are the toolbar buttons
for the revision graph and could use a skilled hand.
