Icon overlays not working on Vista 64-bit SP2

I have the latest TortoiseSVN (1.6.2) 64-bit MSI installed on a Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2 machine. Icon overlays do not work. I try all the tricks on the mailing lists--set to Shell, try to restart TSVNCache.exe (which never appears in my Task Manager listing, which may be a clue), etc. I also uninstall and reinstall. Still no icon overlays. I know they are possible because TortoiseCVS 64-bit shows them just fine.
Ideas? Planned for a future release? I don't see it in any current ChangeLog, which is why I ask. Looks like other people are having the same problem--it worked once but later releases broke it. Thanks! Enjoy!
