small suggestion for tortoise svn cache

Could I make a small suggestion for tortoise svn?
Currently you install tortoise, and then later your system slows down,
for no reason that you're aware. The culprit being IO contention with
svn cache and other running programs.

Anyway my suggestion would be to default to status cache "shell" so
that people's computers don't get bogged down.
That would be great.
