Edit author for multiple revision gives flickering progress dialog

Hi folks,

If you select several revision in the log dialog having the same
author, you can edit the author for all of them. Presumably this
generates multiple round trips to the server. Each one flashes up
something (I couldn't read it) and for multiple rev changes there is
just a rapid flashing. I was testing this on file:// access, so there
were negligible server delays.
