To get started, just copy the template file(s) TortoiseSVN.pot and TortoiseMerge.pot to TortoiseSVN_it.po and TortoiseMerge_it.po. Load them into your favourite .po Editor (PoEdit for example) and start to translate. Send the first translations to the list and I'll check them for consistency.
