I don't think it's anyone's intention to annoy you. I think people are
just used to the fact that most software developers like to get an
indication of how many people are experiencing a certain bug so they can
prioritise which bugs to fix first. A bug that only one person will
usually never get fixed in most software projects. Having lots of
reports so you can see what the users have in common (or not) is also
usually useful - especially with installer problems where the OS is
often a factor.
I also think many users on this list are not necessary used to using
open source software and when posting to the list, their mindset is as
though they are posting about a bug in a commercial product.
I realise how annoying it is when you can't reproduce a bug. If there's
any information we can collect that would help you (eg which processes
are running, the state of the TSVN registry keys or installation files
etc, then please let us know). It has so far affected all three
machines here it has been installed on but there are still two machines
yet to be upgraded, so if there is any other useful info we could give
you should the same problem arise, please let me know.
