Problem using Tortoise Blame - getting error popups instead of expected blame report

Hello,

Tortoise Blame is not working reliably (for me) in version 1.5.1 build 13563.
I have a file that blames fine if I install the old 1.4.8 Tortoise, but that
now pops up an error dialog: "Missing changed-path information for
'\path\to\file.py<funny_character>' in revision 131075." That was when running
blame from the repo-browser.

<funny_character> is inconsistent - I just repeated this and got "Missing
changed-path information for
'\path\to\file.pylhehttps:\server\repo\path\to\file.py' in revision 131075"
instead - i.e. the character was replaced by 'lhe' and a copy of the URL.

I asked for blame from revision 1-HEAD, ignoring whitespace and line-endings,
viewing output in the Tortoise viewer. 131075 is the last revision.

I have a Firefox extension 'tortoisesvn_menu' that allows me to get to the
Tortoise menu from the browser; doing the same from there gives "Missing
changed-path information for '\path\to\file.pyord'
https:\server\repo\path\file.py' in revision 131075".

Poking around a little more, if I bring up the log of the file, select the
HEAD revision in the top pane and run blame on the file from the lower pane,
the blame works fine (this is a huge improvement on version 1.5.0 which gave a
very messed-up output at this point).

I can go into details on the history of the actual file if needed, but let's
say that it's had a fair amount of copying, branching and merging. It doesn't
have a space in the path to it now, but it did have in its ancestor revisions.
Using a 1.4 format repository on a 1.5.0 server.

regards,
