Check-In error message under specific circumstances

Hello,

today I run into a very specific problem.

SETUP:
- A working copy on a UNC-path (there are some reasons for this)
- The user does have necessary access rights granted to the working copy and it's direct parent folder.
- The user has NO rights granted to any folder above the parent folder. This is by intention
- The windows "bypass traverse checkings" settings is on, as per default.

The folder structure can be imagined as: \\server\share\some\folders\PARENT\WORKINGCOPY

The user has all rights except changing the Security Descriptor to PARENT and all subfolders. The folder WORKINGCOPY is the
root of the working copy. This means especially that there is no .SVN folder in PARENT (but in WORKINGCOPY, of course).

PROBLEM:
Whenever the user tries to check in, he gets the error message shown in the attachment.

KNOWN WORKAROUND:
When the user maps the PARENT folder as a drive letter, the checkin process succeeds.

I would really like to have a better solution other than changing the set-up described above.

What do you think about that?
Could this be changed (I hesitate a little about "fixed") easily?
Do I have to live with it?
